Are you worried about those foods that have the potential to impair your cat’s health? Do you want to keep your countertop filtered from all such eatables that are harmful to your cat’s well-being?

Congratulations, you have landed on the right page!

Cats may seem very particular about their choice of food but it is not necessary that they will overlook only those edibles that aren’t beneficial for their diet and fall for those that are good for their health.

Though we all feel tempted to give them table leftovers occasionally but be mindful while doing that as certain foods can be poisonous to her.

Chocolates!

You definitely feel many times to reward your cat for their good behavior with something delicious yet special but chocolate will ALWAYS remain a no-go area!

In fact, it’s a danger zone!

Keep your furballs away from all sorts of chocolates. Let it be semi-sweet, dark, milk, or even white! Chocolates contain caffeine and theobromine. Both of these substances are a part of a group of substances called methylxanthines which can lead to serious health effects in cats.

Darker chocolates, however, are expected to have more severe impacts than lighter ones but any sort of chocolate has to be avoided at all times.

Chocolate ice cream may not be as hazardous, but it contains sugar and lactose, which is a prohibited area!

So next time you feel like giving a treat to your cat, go for something healthier for her.

Onions and Garlic

Neither cats nor Dogs need onions in any form in their diet! Let it be powdered, raw, cooked, or even dehydrated!

Garlic is 5 times stronger than onion, So this must be excluded.

Onions and Garlic have the power to break down your cat’s red blood cells leading them to anemia. These foods get highly poisonous when given either in significant quantities seldomly or in insignificant quantities regularly.

Diary Products

Though your cat may be fond of drinking milk, it isn’t necessarily beneficial for her health.

Never give your cat a bowl of milk, cheese, or other dairy products as most felines are lactose intolerant, so this could cause them serious stomach issues.

Although some cats can digest it, they are still not recommended to consume it regularly to avoid any possible stomach issues in the future.

Grapes and raisins

Grapes and raisins are also not exactly the best treatment for your cats, and even small amounts can make them sick.

Early symptoms would be hyperactivity and increased heartbeat. Although some cats may not show any symptoms at all, it is always not to keep such things on countertops or other places that are accessible to cats

Fat Trimmings And Bones

Fat trimmings of cooked and uncooked meat and bones can give your kitty some bad digestional issues.

Bones on the other hand are dangerous for both cats and dogs as they can not only cause an obstruction in their digestive system but could also choke on it, making the situation even worse.

So, instead of giving fat trimmed off meats and bones from table scraps next time, give some fresh water to your fluffy family member.

Conclusion

Don’t expect your cat to be obedient to you all the time, they can trick you in ways beyond your imagination. Try to keep edibles that aren’t good for their tummy in places where they cant get access and feed them with food that has more national value than taste!
